About Prana

In the silent rhythm of life, there exists a force— unseen, yet profoundly felt. This force, known as PRÁNA, flows through every being, connecting the inner self with the cosmos. PRÁNA is the breath of life, the pulse of existence, and the bridge between the physical and the spiritual.

Nowhere is this life force more vivid and untamed than in the rich and diverse wildlife of Sri Lanka. From the gentle giants of its rainforests to the vibrant avian symphonies of its wetlands, Sri Lanka is a land where PRÁNA thrives in its purest form. Each creature, each habitat, and each whisper of the wild tells a story of interconnected energy—a reminder of the delicate balance that sustains life on this island and beyond. For over 12 years, I have devoted my leisure time to exploring the island’s breathtaking wilderness, capturing its beauty through my lens and immersing myself in the symphony of its natural wonders.

However, as breathtaking as this world is, it is also fragile. The pressures of habitat loss, climate change, and human expansion are threatening the survival of

countless species that call Sri Lanka home. Through this book, I hope not only to celebrate the beauty of wildlife but also to advocate for its preservation.

PRÁNA addresses the urgent need for conservation and serves as a reminder of our shared responsibility to protect the natural world for future generations.

This book, PRÁNA, is a dream realized—a celebration of the incredible life force that courses through Sri Lanka’s wildlife and landscapes. It is both a tribute

to the natural world that has shaped my perspective on life and an invitation for you to witness the magic that exists beyond the boundaries of our daily routines.

Let PRÁNA guide you through these pages, as we explore the profound energy, beauty, and vulnerability of Sri Lanka’s wildlife—a world that continues to inspire, heal, and connect us to the essence of life itself.
